S African army called in to help end mounting antiforeign violence

South African President Thabo Mbeki approved on Wednesday the involvement of armed forces to halt the ongoing attacks on foreigners in the country’s richest Gauteng province, which has claimed 42 lives and left over 16,000 displaced.
